1      Portal

You enter the portal by using the URL or via the link provided under The entry point of the portal is the world map as shown below.



2      Navigation

2.1       World map

The available regions are shown when the user moves his mouse cursor over a specific area. At this point the portal highlights the region and shows a tool tip text displaying the name.


After that the next level with the available countries appears. If you want to go back to the world map, simply click on the small cross in the upper right corner to close the frame. Otherwise choose a country and click on it to be redirected to the taxonomy / document page.

At this state you are also able to switch directly into the taxonomy folder structure. Files can be found at the country level but also in the region level.


2.2       Country List

If you don’t want to navigate through the world map you can alternativly directly access a country by selecting them by using the country-dropdown-list in the upper middle of the world map.



3      Documents

After you have selected a country either via the world map or the country dropdown menue, you are redirected to the following user interface (in this example South-America / Brazil are selected):


3.1       Regions / Countries

In this view you can still switch the region and the country if you like to. Simply click on the selection box in the upper left corner to change the region or the selection box in the upper middle to change the country. If you click on the small world map, you are redirected to the starting page of the portal.



3.2       Taxonomies


To navigate through the available documents click on the taxonomies provided. If you click on the  Icon, you can show / hide the next level taxonomy. The active taxonomies are highlighted in dark blue.



3.3       Documents



If you have selected the region / country and the taxonomy the available documents are displayed. An Icon shows the type of the file with an indication of size and a description. The files can be downloaded by clicking on the Icon of the filetype or the download link . If more then 10 files are available, the pagination is activated. You can switch the pages by clicking on the page number or show all documents on one site with the button ‘view all items’.

3.4       Breadcrumb

To show the user his current location in the taxonomy and regions / world at all the time, a breadcrumb navigation is displayed under the taxonomy. By clicking on the specific breadcrumb-menue you can navigate trough the content.


4      Search

If you want to search the whole content you can type your keywords in the search textfield in the upper right corner. After clicking on the loupe all search results regarding to your specific search criteria are displayed. By clicking on the back button you are redirected to the start page.

 5      Language

The portal supports five languages, english, spanish, francais, portuguese and german. By clicking on the language selector beside the search box you can selected your preffered language. The system automatically changes the language to your selection.

 6      Additional Informations

The platform allows you to enter additional informations to taxonomies, regions and countries.

6.1       Taxonomy Information

If an ‚i‘ symbol is displayed in a taxonomy box, additional informations are available. This can either be a information page or a link to an URL. Simply click on it to view the content.


6.2       Region  / Home Information

To every region / country in the portal additional home and profile information can be found if they are available. This can either be an information page or a link to an URL. Simply click on it to view the content.


7      Administrator

7.1       Login

To administrate the portal you can login by using the button in the upper right corner. Now a login mask with username and passwort request is displayed.

 7.2       Features

After logging in as administrator you can upload, delete or edit content as shown above.


Furthermore you are able to create additional informations for regions, countries and taxonomies.


7.3       Upload

In the administrator view you are able to upload documents to a specific region/country and taxonomy. Simply click on the button ‘Upload document’. Now you can choose a file to upload, a title to be displayed and a description for the document.



Press upload to provide the file und cancel to abort.


7.4       Delete / Edit Content

If you are logged in as administrator you can delete files by clicking on the  symbol. You are asked if you really like to delete the file. Accept or cancel the operation.


For changing the description click on the symbol. A dialog is displayed where you can change the meta data of the content.


 7.5       Create Information Page

To create additional information pages click on the symbol . After that you can see the ‘Create information’ dialog. You can choose between the type (html, link) and the destination of the content to be displayed (taxonomy information, regional information, regional profile).


If you choose to enter html content, an editor is displayed. Write in the content and click ‘create information page’ to save, delete or cancel.

 If you choose to enter a link, the following frontend will be displayed.


Click on ‘Create information page’ to create the link or cancel to abort.
